Light at the service of people: HCL WAS Indoor Smart Solutions

Iluminación inteligente para colegios y oficinas

The Human Centric Lighting concept in lighting is based on pursuing one goal: improving people’s quality of life and well-being. matching artificial light to natural light as closely as possible. In other words, it helps people keep their circadian rhythm in sync with the passage of the day to optimise sleep, alertness, performance, mood, and response to seasonal and hormonal changes.

For this purpose we have created smart solutions that allow us to automatically regulate artificial light according to daylight input, light colour temperature and detect presence or occupancy that can be managed remotely.

Smart lighting for indoor space

WAS Indoor is Prilux’s adaptive solution to provide well-being, health, increased performance, flexibility, energy efficiency and minimum impact on the environment in work or academic environments. How do we do that? Thanks to an intelligent luminaire dimming system that combines the natural daylight supply and the control of the DALI DT8 luminaire lines with colour temperature change.

  • Wellness and health: The HCL WAS (HCL – Human Centric Lighting) lighting system is based on replicating natural light patterns throughout the day.. By adjusting the intensity and colour temperature of light according to human needs, the well-being and health of people in indoor spaces can be improved. Adequate lighting can positively influence circadian rhythm, sleep quality, mood and productivity.

  • Aumento del rendimiento: La iluminación HCL WAS (HCL – Human Centric Lighting) puede contribuir a un aumento significativo del rendimiento en entornos de trabajo. By adapting the light to the different tasks and activities throughout the day, optimal lighting can be achieved which improve concentration, reduce eyestrain and promote mental alertness. This can lead to greater productivity and work efficiency.

.

  • Flexibility and customisation: HCL WAS (HCL – Human Centric Lighting) lighting systems offer more flexibility and customisation compared to conventional lighting systems. Users can adjust the intensity and colour of the light according to their individual preferences and specific needs at any given time. This allows the creation of lighting environments tailored to specific activities, thus enhancing the user experience and comfort.

.

  • Energy efficiency: Although the implementation of a HCL WAS (Human Centric Lighting) lighting system requires an initial investment, it generates energy savings in the long term.. By using intelligent sensors and control systems, the HCL lighting optimises energy consumption by adapting to environmental conditions and the presence of people. Efficient use of daylight can also reduce the need for artificial lighting during the day.

.

  • Sustainability and the environment: By reducing energy consumption, HCL lighting systems contribute to sustainability and environmental protection.. In addition, by promoting the health and well-being of occupants, the quality of indoor living spaces can be improved, which can have a positive impact on people’s overall well-being and satisfaction.

.

The most recommended and efficient luminaires for these professional and/or educational environments are STANIA and DIANE which, due to their technical and aesthetic characteristics, are compatible with the HCL WAS system. Both have an optimal photometric distribution and a power that allows them to be highly efficient while achieving luminous uniformity. In this way, we can install them at greater spacing and reduce their consumption.

STANIA: stands out for its glare control thanks to batwing photometry. to offer a UGR<19 and its light engine capable of achieving a L80B10>150,000 hours. It is available in a range from 2700K and 6500K and a CRI>. Manufactured in Spain, it includes a wide range of optics. The reflectors are available in a choice of glossy aluminium, matt aluminium, matt gold, matt copper and matt black finishes. Ideal for office lighting.

DIANE: The new lamp stands out for its glare control and wide range of colour temperatures; from 3,000K to 6,500K. Its embeddable mechanism makes it perfect for classrooms, offices, health centres, department stores and hotels, among others.

To convert our luminaires into intelligent systems and offer greater efficiency, we combine them with our control and dimming packs such as the PACK BT CIRCADIAN CYCLES 32 DALI WASconsisting of a control module that can be configured from the application and an anti-traction accessory for installation in false ceilings. This pack includes an internal clock that modifies the colour temperature and brightness level throughout the day and emulates the behaviour of sunlight, which is so important for maintaining our circadian biorhythms. In addition, the Circadian Cycles BT Pack 32 DALI is equipped with a control system. Plug&Play is very simple and intuitive to set up.
