Renovation of public and architectural lighting - Santa Cruz de Mudela

Prilux has participated in the Santa Cruz de Mudela public lighting renovation project under the PEMIS concept. This project has been carried out together with ARTECOIN, a consultancy and engineering and architectural firm specialising in sustainable and energy-efficient projects, and ACEINSA MOVILIDAD, the company in charge of implementation. The aim was to completely transform the lighting system to become more energy efficient, reduce carbon emissions and improve the urban environment for citizens. On the other hand, the design and aesthetics of the façade of the town hall were to be highlighted with architectural lighting.

Results of the street lighting renovation

Thanks to the renovation of the lighting with LED technology, the level of luminosity has doubled, always complying with the Energy Efficiency Regulations for Outdoor Lighting Installations and, especially, limiting emissions to the upper hemispheric flux (HFHSinst) as close as possible to 0% to avoid light pollution.

Switch to LED

Among the different lighting renovation actions, the support arms have been replaced to achieve more uniform lighting, 29 control panels have been refurbished and 1,801 luminaires have been renewed. In this way, we optimise energy and maintenance costs. It also regulates the intensity and luminous flux according to the needs of the roads at any given moment. They offer lighting management in the control panel that allows group control of the luminaires connected to the control centre via the power supply line (CMR) without additional wiring. It should also be noted that the panel controllers support the automatic reconfiguration of the dimming curves per circuit, thus maintaining a much more efficient communication with the luminaires. Most of the ARISA ROAD, ARISA TOP 4, ARISA 2 and UNIVERSAL OPTICAL GROUP models have been installed for street lighting. For the architectural lighting part, LED PAD AVANT RGBW DMX has been chosen. With programmed dynamic scenes the façade changes colour according to the different needs and interactions of the city council with the citizens.
